Why Upgrade PageRank?
PageRank (PR) can be used to determine Google’s opinion of any page. The ranking is on a 1-10 scale. Of course, a low number means that (according to Google) the page is less significant than a higher one. By having a large PageRank you can greatly improve your search engine ranking because Google will see your site as more important.
In addition improving your search engine ranking, upgrading your website’s PageRank can generate revenue for your site. For example, a PR6 text link normally sells for over $140/month. Sell just 10 links and you’re already paying for your PR upgrade in just one month!

The First Annual DrivingSales Innovation Cup Awards were created to recognize solutions introduced in 2010 whose innovative approaches have produced significant results for dealers. Dealership solution-providers submitted applications online (most also received nominations from dealer customers), vendor names were blanked out, and a panel of dealers assessed each application. Six were selected from dozens of online applicants to present onstage at the Second Annual DrivingSales Executive Summit, where dealers scored each solution.
eCarList True Target Mobile received the highest score. Cobalt Digital Advertising Package, GOSO – Social Media Dashboard, ResponseLogix SmartQuote, VinSolutions VinLens and VinSolutions Website Dashboard were named as finalists.

How can I improve my website?
[quote:1njbv1t3]I have built a website :
http://www.gibsidephotography.co.uk
I would like to know how I can improve my search engine optimisation.
I would also like suggestions on how to improve my web site's user friendliness. Is it too complicated?
Thanks,
I have been reading and studying about website optimisation for over 9 years. I have read numerous different theories and there are so many self proclaimed experts who write on this subject. Everyone has different idea's and I have tried most of them. The truth is that Google, the main player, have a secret algorithm or formula they use to assess and rate websites. As soon as they think anyone is getting close to working it out they change it. That being the case accept the reality that they rank your site how they choose and the ranking goes up or down when they choose and this is out of your control. Ignore claims that people can get you in the top ten ranking, if they could they would personally own the top ten sites in every section of the Internet, be millionaires and not need to advertise and charge for optimising your site!
My advice is design a website that answers your customers questions, fulfils their needs, looks pleasant and is easy to navigate. forget trying to chance the search engine ranking at the end pf the rainbow, just design a user friendly site and accept the ever changing ranking it gets.[/quote:1njbv1t3]well first thing i notice is some of your pictures are out of focus, since if you want people to buy pictures, they should have a water mark on them, and all be really good quality.
good ways to evulate your page
http://www.submitexpress.com/analyzer/ i would advise running every test this site has but for SEO i would advise lettting a company do it for you this costs about 100 a month and well worth it since they are doing all the really boring work.

What the hell has gone wrong with it?
I don’t know if its just her or is it the fact that that she could be right.
I leave it for you to judge… because i’ve just gotten pissed off that I can’t make it look and seem interesting!

Consider your background and colour scheme. While getting too busy in the background is bad, just a plain colour is kind of boring. Also think about a colour scheme. Blue and white is not a very good/interesting colour scheme. Think about using various different colours that compliment blue in the background, side links, post headers, etc. You could do cool colours (green, blue, purple), basics (red, yellow, blue), CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, key/black), etc. Also, try using a creme instead of stark white just to add a little depth. Like I said before about the background, don’t get too crazy because you don’t want to take away from the pictures, but all blue is rather boring. Make the title more interesting — can you add a graphic instead of just plain text?

You have to get the search engines involved, but you won’t get listed by them, automatically. You have to do some work, let them know that you’re there, that you want to be listed, and that you are worthy of being listed.
1) Get your friends to link to your blog, where your blog is relevant.
2) Participate in forums, where your blog is relevant, and include the URL.
3) Comment on other blogs, in relevant comments, and include the URL.
4) Put relevant and useful content in your blog.
5) Some search engines may index your blog using the site feed. Be sure to activate the feed.
6) When you have done all of the above, your blog will have some weight. Submit your blog to the search engines, for indexing.
7) Post frequently, and keep the content of your blog moving.

Content Layout
If you have a lot of content, it’s important that you present the information clearly. Be sure to use these tips to make your content easy-to-read and easy-to-follow.
HTML Text: Keep the text in HTML – not embedded into graphics.
Why? It’s harder to read and it’s harder to change. Changing content in a graphic or even in FLASH will cost you more to change and will keep you “married” to your designer.
Content Segmentation: Categorize your content to make the information easy to find… quickly.
Why? People want to get to where they are going quickly. We are beyond the microwave society.
Sound: Refrain from adding automatic music and “site pals” and “virtual sales reps”if your website targets consumers.
Why? The sound will “bust” them while they are looking at work. It is best to allow people to opt to hear the music or watch the video sales person.
No reverse type – white text on a black (or dark background) is very hard to read… especially if you are dealing with anyone over 40.
Larger Font – 10 pt Arial and Verdanaor 12 pt Times Roman are three traditional fonts.
Use Heading Tags- headings help break up the text on the page into nice, easy-to-read segments. Plus the search engines LOVE it!
Are there more guidelines to content and web design? Absolutely!
But if you aren’t doing at least these basics, you probably aren’t happy with your web results. Try them out and let us know what happens with your Google Analytics!

Driving traffic to your website
Driving traffic to your website and engaging the visitors once they are there is the future of websites.
Four of five pages isnt going to cut the mustard, you need them to connect and hang out!
Relationships are formed by regular engagement with people be that online or offline. People may be able to turn up to an event every month or every 3 months but they can engage online more frequently if they have a mind to.
And in todays climate you need to engage to attract people to your world so they can show them your wears and encourage a sale… just like the good old days of the high street… but we didnt want that! We want cheap, cheap, cheap so you have to move the business to your home and retail online from there…
Today, 4th September, I wrote 4 stories, this is the 5th…. 3 business related, 1 football and 1 celebrity. People love celebrity and so by rights, the BB10 story should attract the majority of visitors… lets see if that happens… BB is not REAL celebrity, so it may not perform but we can surely give it a go!!
Take a look at the stories, watch the videos and give us your feedback…
