Le call-to-action est un lment stratgique et important dans vos emailings. En effet, il permet vos contacts de concrtiser d’un simple clic leur engouement.

How to easily create a powerful “call to action” with interactive web videos

A truly effective internet marketing video presentation should motivate the viewer to perform some kind of action…

Build relationships with your Website visitors by providing an easy form of contacting you using Click To Call Button.

Unless the purpose of your videos is to entertain or educate, you will want them to feel a desire to do something by the time they’re finished watching your video. Examples include: buy now, request more information, visit another web site, call a phone number, etc.

This is known in marketing terms as a “call to action.” And it is often the difference between a pretty little video presentation that just sits there accomplishing little, and one that gets powerful results for your business.

The WebVideoZone Player was built from the ground up with this in mind. By using one or more of the different features in the Player Maker, you will be able to add an interactive element to your video that encourages your viewers to act.

There are several different ways to add interactivity to your videos…

    1. The WVZ Logo Feature with Existing Video

The logo option allows you to have a graphic appear within the video screen while the video is playing. It is placed “on top of” the video. This means the graphic is seperate from the video itself.

Any size up to the dimensions of the video itself (e.g., 320×240)

In a GIF, JPG or PNG format

Transparent or semi-transparent (must be in PNG format)

In the WVZ Player Maker, you have four different options for the Logo:

Logo Image Path – specify the URL location of your logo. For example: http://www.yoursite.com/path/to/your-logo.gif

Logo Position – where you’d like the logo to appear on the screen (e.g., top right, bottom left, etc.)

Logo Click URL – if you click on the logo, this is the URL to which the viewer be directed (e.g., http://yoursite.com )

Logo Click Target – where the link will open (e.g, “_blank” = new window, “_self” = current window)

You can use your own images, or choose from among the dozens of custom made graphics in the player image gallery .

Once you’ve set the necessary options, press the “save configuration” button, and your logo will be added. The player will updated in real-time on any web page on which it appears.

    2. The Invisible Logo Trick

By using a transparent GIF or PNG file, you can turn any area of the viewing screen into a clickable “hotspot.” That’s how I did it with my video example:

The area is actually clickable the entire time the video is playing. Unless it’s brought to your attention with a call to action, you would probably never notice it. Watch the video again to see what I mean…

If you don’t want to incorporate graphical elements into your video (e.g., giant head of Steve Jobs), you can simply make the whole screen area, or a portion of it, clickable.

    For example:

If your video size is 320×240, use a clear pixel graphic of the same dimensions as your logo. During your video, you can say something like, “Click on me for more information.” In actuality, a click anywhere on the screen area would suffice; but, by being specific, it seems more interesting.

You can position your invisible logo anywhere:

    Top right, center, or left

    Bottom right, center, or left

Or directly in the center of the screen

Don’t worry about trying to figure out how to make a transparent image. I already made some for you. Here is a zip file containing a variety of different-sized clear pixel GIF images you can use with your videos: Clear Pixel Images

All you have to do is:

    Download it to your computer

    Click on it to unzip

    Save the files you want

Upload the ones you want to use to a server

Specify its location in the Player Maker

Finally, you can add interactivity to your video using…

    3. The Exit Image Option

In the Player Maker, you can specify what happens after your video has finished playing:

The options are the same as described above for the Logo Image settings – with one addition: “End of Movie Action”

In this drop-down box, you make a selection to indicate what the player should do once the video is done playing:

Nothing – displays the last frame from your video

Reset – returns back to the Intro Image (“Click to Play”)

Loop – continues to play the video over again automatically

Replay Button – displays a clickable “replay button” that will cause the video to start again once pressed.

Image With Pause – displays the Exit Image as specified in the Exit Image Path above.

By selecting the final option, “Image With Pause,” you’re instructing the player to display a specific image upon completion of the video. In this case, you will also need to specify a pause time in the field to the right of the drop-down box. This is the number of seconds that the Exit Image will display in the player, before the video resets back to the Intro Image.

The video is done. Your viewer is sitting there, waiting to be told what to do. This is where you have a powerful image that says: “Click to Buy Now!”, “Click for More Information!”, or “Call this number to learn more…”

Once again, you can use your own images, or choose from among those in the player image gallery . Remember, the image should be the same size as the video (e.g., 320×240), and can be in GIF, JPG or PNG formats.

Summary – Creating Interactive Web Videos with the WVZ Player

You’re not limited to using just one of the techniques above. Combine the logo and exit image features together, and create a double whammy call to action!

Keep in mind, you can change any of the above settings at any time, without having to change the code on your web site. Once you change it in the Player Maker, it will update automatically on any page the video appears, in real-time. Change your mind again? Change the settings again.

    For example, you can change:

    Click URLs

    Click targets

    FLV video file itself

No more boring, TV-like web videos. Encourage people to interact with your presentations, and prepare to be amazed by the results.

Before Our company started building the website we researched for information like this and we decided, according to the information on the very same internet, that 100% flash designed websites are impossible to read by the search engines bots. Try a combination of flash and html to improve your SEO

If the site is complete flash, I would start over. If it isn’t, it doesn’t hurt the ranking, but doesn’t help either.

I concur with the above statements.

Google spiders cannot read flash, yet…

I always cringe when I hear people making a flash website. Anyone who is new to websites seems to get sold on these because they are just that flashy. Bottom line is they suck for SEO .

To be honest I have never liked flash sites. They seem to be more about ego than usefulness.

If you don’t want to start over I would suggest making part of the page flash and the other part content. This way you can still use the flash and get the benefits of SEO . Don’t forget to make sure your pages have meta tags.

  9. Context Is King in Driving Participation and Sales | ClickZ

Posted on July 17th, 2011 by admin

There’s a saying that where there is focus, there is growth. The same is true as it relates to your customers’ participation. So you’ve reached a thousand followers, now what? How do you focus their conversation into something valuable for other customers? For your brand?

Do you have the ability for your clients to contact you for FREE using 1300 number and 1800 number signup? 1800 services are a toll free services inside Australia.

When it comes to customer conversations, context is king. For most brands, customers won’t initiate and build a valuable brand conversation on their own – it’s the brand’s job to start a conversation customers want to join. Here are some tips for building context that gets customers engaged in ways that help you sell.

Give Customers a Topic – Something to Get Them Thinking and Talking

In the context of an open brand community or social network page, only a small percentage of customers will be initiators, those who comment without a prompt. And of those initiators, an even smaller percentage will leave comments relevant to helping other customers buy. To increase valuable participation, you have to give your community context.

Invite customers to respond and react to your prompts around topics relevant to your brand. On Facebook, for example, you can encourage fans to post pictures or video of themselves using your products or engaging in relevant activities. Golfsmith, for example, encourages its Facebook fans to post pictures of their great golf shots, connecting their passion for the game to the Golfsmith brand. You can also use Facebook and Twitter to conduct polls on brand-relevant topics, sparking opinionated conversations that keep people talking. Tactics like these give your communities relevant context, and give your fans something to talk about.

Engage Customers Around Topics That Matter to Them

Too often, I see brands expecting active, engaging conversations just to spring up around their customers’ love for their products. “Tell us what you love about our brand!” is a prompt I see far too frequently.

It’s important to remember that your customers online are real people, with real interests and questions. If you contextualize a conversation around something they like, love, or want to help, they are more likely participate. These interests may not be directly tied to your brand or products, but can be related to the feelings or causes your brand invokes (or would like to invoke).

Skincare brand Philosophy, for example, asked customers to share stories of their moms’ philosophies in a Mother’s Day campaign. Not only did customers submit over 1,000 stories, but analysis showed that 39 percent of all site traffic for May originated on these stories’ pages. Writers and readers shared stories with others, bringing new visitors to Philosophy’s e-commerce site who may not have considered the brand before.

Match Your User-Generated Content to Your Customer Needs

Shoppers bring their own context: tasks, needs, questions. They come to any page on your website with something on their minds. And as we know, they trust other customers’ words more than your brand’s. Match the conversational content your customers have created back to the context shoppers have on your site, and it’s a win-win situation for everyone.

Reviews and questions are the purest forms of contextual conversation – a shopper is viewing your product, so you show questions people like them have about it, and authentic testimonials and answers from people like them who have bought it. If customers are reviewing and asking questions about your products on social networks, be sure to syndicate this content back to your product pages where it can help shoppers buy.

Context is king in creating conversations that are valuable for both your customers and your brand. Building good context, and recognizing your shoppers’ own context, focuses these conversations to drive sales.

  10. Innovators: A Call to Action – Bank Technology News Article

Posted on July 17th, 2011 by admin

“History should be our guide. The United States led the world’s economies in the 20th century because we led the world in innovation. Today, the competition is keener; the challenge is tougher; and that is why innovation is more important than ever. It is the key to good, new jobs for the 21st century. That’s how we will ensure a high quality of life for this generation and future generations.”-President Barak Obama

Build relationships with your clients by allowing an easy method of contacting you using Click To Call Button.

Innovation can create new industries. The Internet-spawned out of DARPA and later NSF- contributes $2 trillion dollars to our nation’s GDP, which corresponds to more than $6,500 per American. Innovation can create sustainable, high paying jobs. If all the technology spin-offs of MIT were a country, its GDP would be the 12th largest in the world. And innovation is the brightest side of capitalism: the greatest minds from around the globe still flock to our nation, where more than anywhere else their ideas can change the world and create wealth.

But our innovation leadership is being contested like never before. The East now rivals our nation’s ability to produce technology and to convert it to economic impact. Many countries are responding to the world’s deepest economic recession since The Great Depression by bolstering their efforts in innovation. This suggests something that is increasingly advocated by both industry and government: our nation’s global economic leadership is predicated on our nation’s continued global innovation leadership.

The banking industry is a good case in point. Global economic leadership in banking has long been American. But recent events leave the industry in turmoil-and as such, there’s an opportunity for a changing of the guard. This represents a historic chance for innovative banking companies to win market share. In general this is a good thing-innovation usually means consumers get more for less. But the question for us is whether these new innovators- and perhaps the next generation of global economic banking leadership-will be American. This remains to be seen, but there is genuine reason for Americans to be concerned.

Now, some may be skeptical on this point. Some say “innovation” is what got American banking into its current mess in the first place. Wasn’t it the great financial innovation called derivatives that spurred the global economic meltdown in the first place? Many would agree.

But this is not an argument against innovation itself, but rather an example of misplaced innovation. American banking innovations-such as the ATM-have fueled American global banking leadership in the past. And if that leadership is to continue into the future, innovation will be a key reason. Mobile banking can either be something that bolsters and energizes our banking industry’s global economic leadership, or a conspirator in its demise. Innovation is that important, and if we recognize that, we should make it a priority.

These noble intentions do not come without challenges. For starters, our nation’s banks have not historically been early adopters of innovation. Startups report that banks are often reluctant to work with smaller technology companies, even if these companies have great technology. Larger banks sometimes have internal innovation activities, but are often too conservative to adopt them. Smaller banks sometimes lack the resources to assess outside innovation, and often don’t view innovation as an important part of their competitive advantage. The opportunity for a truly disruptive innovation to penetrate American banking seems limited. This is problematic. For the next disruptive banking technology may end up penetrating a foreign market first, meaning that foreign banking innovators could have an advantage. And by the time such innovation reaches our shores, market leadership in such an innovation may be established already-and would likely not be in American hands. If this hasn’t happened already, there are some emerging foreign technologies that threaten to change that.

The question for our nation’s banking industry-as with other of our nation’s industries-is not whether to innovate, but how to do it best. And to this point, history can again be our guide. Some of our nation’s greatest innovations-including the Internet, communication satellites, and the MRI-have been the result of a productive collaboration between government, academia, and the private sector. American banking should not face its innovation challenge alone-and to be clear, its foreign competition won’t be doing so either.

This is not intended as a demonstration of erudition, but rather as a call to action. As a public-private partnership with the National Science Foundation, the Innovation Accelerator is uniquely positioned to serve as the banking industry’s “innovation interface.” We wish to leverage great and innovative technologies developed in our nation’s research universities and federal research labs on the strength of federal funding to empower our nation’s banking industry to maintain and increase market share even in the face of the industry’s current turmoil and heightened global competition. We also wish to understand what areas of innovation and industry pain points are on the minds of senior executives in our nation’s banking industry, with an eye toward directing our best and brightest (and the innovations they develop) towards them. This is a call to action.

Pyrovolakis is the founder and CEO of The Innovation Accelerator Initiative.
