    The Infomercial “Call to Action”

    By Robert Melkonyan

When watching an infomercial you are likely to hear multiple calls to action. The reason why is because infomercials are a form of direct response television and their goal is to get a response from the consumer while the infomercial is on the air. The calls to action are designed to motivate viewers to pick up the phone and make their purchase or visit the website to purchase the item. There are many different calls to action that are used, and some are quite creative, however the following are some of the more popular ones.

Build trust with your Website visitors by providing an easy method of contacting you using Click To Call Button.

    “Not Sold in Stores”

The phrase “not sold in stores” is frequently used when selling an item through an infomercial because you want customers to be aware that their only chance of buying the item is by picking up the phone. If they wait then they will lose their opportunity because the item is not being sold in retail stores. This is a very useful phrase because consumers who want the item right away will be motivated to pick up the phone. Of course, most items eventually are sold in stores and many consumers know this. However, it could be months or years, or not at all, so it makes sense for consumers to purchase the item while they can.

    “Risk Free”

Another common term used in an infomercial is “risk free”. This term is used on a regular basis because consumers who are able to try out a product knowing they can return it if it doesn’t live up to their expectations are more likely to make a purchase. Infomercials sell items “risk free” because they know that more than likely once the product arrives the consumer will be happy with it and keep the item. However, adding in the phrase “risk free” motivates more people to give the item a try.

    “Supplies are Limited”

If you have ever watched an infomercial you have no doubt heard the phrase “supplies are limited” on countless occasions. The reason why is because this motivates consumers to pick up the phone and make a purchase. If they believe the stock is about to sell out then they are more likely to make the purchase during the programming rather than later on. This is what infomercials are going for and this phrase really works!

There are no limits to the many different phrases used on infomercials to get consumers to act. Many of these phrases are used over and over again simply because they work!

One of the largest media buying agencies for any infomercial and DRTV spot is A. Eicoff & Co. of Chicago

Does Your Website Have a Call To Action?

    By Sameep Shah

What is your company’s website aiming for? Well, definitely as an entrepreneur your main aim is to sell the products of your company through your website. In order to grow interest in the minds of the visitors, you might use convincing words and attract them towards using your products. But the success of the site can be evaluated through the growth of the online sales of the company. Any website is loaded with valuable information, but when this information is added with a call to action, the site can achieve a great start.

Build relationships with your clients by allowing an easy form of contacting you using Click To Call Button.

So what really is call for action? Call to action is just a simple statement that gives instructions to the users on the steps that they are supposed to follow while going through the website. Some examples related to this phrase are “register now”, “sign up”, “get a newsletter”, “click here” etc.

With the help of proper web design management, the company can turn any visitor of the website into a consumer of the goods of the company. Every website maintains a funnel process; the process starts with the visitor opening the page whereas the final step of the process where the options for the visitors are streamlined is the call for action. Call to action should be placed in a readily visible position and should be accessible to the visitors. This means that the positioning of the call to action is of vital importance.

Often while designing a page, the designers place the call for action at the bottom of the page; but, this is detrimental for the purpose of your company. The call for action should be placed on top of the web page, so that it catches the eye of the visitors and instigates them to think at the propositions and the benefits that your company is providing.

What’s more, keeping the call to action on top of the page will make the visitors read the instructions and he might act on it. The text of the call for action must be written in such a way that it stands out from the other body texts. The call to action is best if written in bold and in different color (preferably in red). A button might work even better.

When the visitor clicks on the call for action, say “Subscribe”, make sure that a link demanding some information of the visitor opens up. This will in fact help you in the future to keep record. But, plain words such as “Register”, “Subscribe” etc has become mundane. To draw the attention of the visitor and to make him act readily, little jugglery of words is always beneficial. So, use the words such as hurry, now, soon, fast to enthuse the readers.

Call to action is the final step in the funnel process and helps the consumer in taking instant decisions. Moreover, the call for action is designed to infuse a sense of urgency in the minds of the users and thus, they can lead to huge profits. So, make use of it and give your business a new dimension!

  5. Dealer Websites (WebMakerX 2.0) – Ratings | DrivingSales

Posted on September 27th, 2011 by admin

Yes, I would recommend this product.

    Pros:

I would only recommend Reynolds website’s if I knew that dealer does not compete against me. With todays market, our website is the most important tool to drive sales. I have have many website providers come to us and tell us -”Let us take care of your website, and you do what you do best- sell cars”. Sounds Good, but I want our websites to be flexible and nimble to adjust to any changes in the market. I want to take charge of my sites. RWS gives me the ability to immediately change 85% of my websites without calling them. If I do need to make changes I cannot do myself, they are responsive and QUICK to make those changes. More importantly – they are great teachers. They have an incredible staff. If I ever have a problem that I can’t figure out myself, they are there to help me learn in a way I can understand. This is especially true with HTML, SEO, alt tags and SEO content. I lean on all of them so very much. RWS gives me the tools to dominate my region – and we do! I have worked with several well known website providers in the past. So far, Reynolds is the best!

You website is already in a good layout and ads are placed in the best locations, but try to play around with colours and the spacing between posts and sidebar. The ‘bubble squares’ could be annoying for people to look at, and if you want to keep the ‘bubble square’ theme thing, the theme needs something in-between as something is missing in that theme in my opinion. Experiment with different types of layouts :)

  10. What can I do to improve my website?

Posted on September 24th, 2011 by admin

    Yahoo! directory

    How Spiders Work

Theoretically, a spider can begin traveling the internet from a single web page and follows networks of links to grab information from your Web pages. The information it grabs is sorted according to specific algorithms or different criteria when determining their ranking system. One problem of search engine positioning is that search engines are always changing their algorithms. This means that each one will sort out the information that is needed for their database. One engine may consider a particular factor such as “popularity” to be important while another may look at “themes” to be the most important information. You have to keep a watch on your pages continually and make adjustments accordingly. What works today may not work tomorrow.

The perceived value of your company can be increased by making your company – make it appear bigger than it is. 1300 Number – Contact Us are the perfect way of taking your local company to the national stage.

The spider will visit the web page and perform the following tasks:

    1. confirm the existence of the web page; may index at that time or come back at a later date

    2. index page content (using partial or full-text indexing)

    3. identify all hyperlinks to other Web resources (this is an indication of popularity and is becoming increasingly important)

    4. proceed to follow the hyperlinks, visiting the referenced Web pages and repeating steps 1-3 above

AltaVista will index old pages if there has been at least a 50-70 byte change. Always update and keep fresh content on your pages.

Most spiders “crawl” the Web on a schedule and when Internet network traffic is at its lowest, such as during the middle of the night.

    Query Terms and Keywords

A search engine compares a query term that you submit to the millions of records in its database. The most fundamental elements of any query term are keywords. Keywords are simple terms that are derived directly from a users search topic that are used by a search engine to conduct a sorting operation on database records. The most simple query term consists of only one keyword. However, query terms can contain keyword phrases and even sentences. The figure below displays what a simple query term containing two keywords would look like in a keyword phrase.

Query terms can very simple or as complex as “miniature short-hair French poodle.”

    Selecting Keywords

Keywords are terms or short phrases that describe your company, product(s), or service(s). Targeting keywords are critical to the successful promotion of your website. If you choose the right keywords for your site, you are on your way to Web promotion success. Choosing the wrong keywords, however, could defeat your efforts.

Remember the following points regarding website keywords:

Most people search for word phrases comprised of two or three keywords versus single keywords because they do not want to receive too many irrelevant matches. Do not make the mistake of targeting very general keywords. Typically, these keywords will not make it into a search engine top 10 for your website.

If you pick a keyword phrase that produces 6,548,000 search possibilities, consider some major fine tuning of that phrase. Try to choose keyword/phrases that produce results of approximately 10,000 or fewer hits. Achieve a high ranking in this manner first, then move up to a phrase that produces more hits when you become more proficient at search engine placement.

Choosing the right keyword/phrases for your site doesnt have to be rocket science. It just takes a little forethought.

    How to Select Keywords

The following points are importantand sometimes criticalregarding your selection of search engine keywords. Each point is described in detail in the section following this list.

Start with specific keywords and not generic keywords.
