How can I improve my eye site – any techniques?
My eye site is atrocious I am 16 and I am not wasting money on Laser Surgery. I have heard that Carrots improve the eye site? Is this a mere myth or fact? And what other exercises and food can you recommend to improve my vision – I want to get 20/20 naturally again.

Stop spending too much time on the computer and watching tv cause that causes eye strain. Eat carrots and drink lots of water. Take some pills called eyebright. You can also try billberry.You can buy them at walgreens. I also did some eye exercises. Don’t believe it works? Well then why did my eyesight go from 20/100 to 20/40 It may not be perfect but I don’t need glasses. Tell that to your eye doctor.

Sorry, but Ed is right. There is no scientific proof that eye vitamins, eye exercises or foods rich in beta carotene or lutein is will improve your vision.
In order to maintain your eyesight, do not smoke, try to avoid second hand smoke and see an eye specialist for a comprehensive dilated exam every few years. Eating a diet rich in red, yellow and green leafy vegetables may help you maintain good vision and avoid getting certain diseases, like macular degeneration and certain cancers.
You would definitely be wasting your money on Lasik surgery and any surgeon who would operate on you should be reported to the AMA. No one should have lasik surgery until their vision has stabilized somewhere in your early to mid-twenties, give or take a few years. If you have it sooner, the surgery will have to be repeated. Lasik can also cause permanent damage to your eyes, though most people have satisfactory results.
FYI-Jordan, Ed is not trying to boost his business, he is an optician and makes glasses, he is not licensed to preform any surgery including Lasik.

There are several different techniques a user can do to help improve his or her typing skills. Below is a short list of different ideas and recommendations you can do to help improve your typing. Keep in mind that most people are not going to be able to improve their typing speed overnight.

Proper placement
Learn to type the proper way (no typing with one or two fingers). This means your fingers should be on the home row keys A, S, D, and F with the left hand and J, K, L, and ; with the right hand. Of course if you’re on a non-English keyboard or a non- QWERTY keyboard this may change.
What fingers are used for what keys on the keyboard?
Type more and practice
Starting off with the most obvious, typing and practicing typing more will obviously help the most. The more you type the more familiar you will become with the computer keyboard and the position of the keys.
When practicing keep some of the below things in mind.
Try not to look at the keyboard while typing. This is usually the hardest for most people, but is definitely a skill that should be learned. Not having to look at where the keys are on a keyboard can dramatically improve the speed of your typing. If you need help learning to not look at your hands try putting a large piece of paper over the keyboard that will allow your hands to fit under it without you being able to see the keys, or put stickers on each of the keys.
Make sure your posture at the computer is good. For example, sit in the upright position with both feet flat on the floor and relax.
Chat
Online chat can be a great place to learn to type and is also usually fun at the same time. If you’re really wanting to learn to type more efficiently while chatting make sure to use proper capitalization, punctuation, and do not use chat slang .
E-mail, online bulletin boards and forums
Sending friends and family frequent e-mail letters can be another great way to learn to type and keep in touch with all your friends and family. In addition to sending e-mail messages there are millions of online forums with every topic of conversation imaginable. Becoming a member of one of these forums and participating in talking about something you enjoy can also be fun and another great way to learn to type.
Run through online typing tests several times
Run through each of the online typing tests several times. Not only will doing each of the different tests help improve your typing, you will be able to catch your errors and notice your progression.
Type pages of a book, letter, or any other page with lots of text
Although not an option that is as fun as some of the other suggestions listed in this document, taking any letter, page of a book, document, etc and typing everything on that page is a great way to help improve your typing. Not only will this help improve your typing of unfamiliar words, it is also a skill sometimes required for some jobs.
Create your own web page, blog, or online journal
Creating your own web page , blog , or online journal that you frequently update is another great way to practice your typing while also doing something productive at the same time.
Typing games
Typing games are a great way to learn the position of all the keys on the keyboard and also help you practice your typing while having fun. Below are a few games that will help with your typing.

Hi, I am always looking to improve my website so I would welcome any suggestions on how to improve it. My website is www.mayjocarhire.com and I have updated it following a lot of suggestions on the forum. How can I improve it further to rank better on google? I have also read that the flash slidepictures i have on homepage can hurt rankings is it true? I would like to rank first mostly on the following keywords: gozo car hire, malta airport car hire and airport transfers in Malta and Gozo

You have mentioned that you have done SEO techniques to get more visitors and you want more viewers to your site. My suggestion is use social networks like facebook and twitter to more visitors. There are millions of users that these social networks have, so why don’t you use that chance to get more visitors for your site. But of course, you have to post or share interesting stuff to make them visits your site. Use some very eye catching words or phrase like freebies and promos to get their attention. But of course, don’t fool the viewers. Just post what you really meant and what your site or business can give.

Red means stop!
I see you went from too much blue to too much red now…I usually stay away from background colors. With the facebook login box and your tiny ebook all the way at the bottom(?) with a white or lt. grey background – I would go with that for the page actually. Kill the green behind the font which you are going to change (right?) and use red for spot highlight and attention.
Using grey – your page should look like this forum here. Hint of red here and there. Use it effectively. Use green or orange (paypal) for the buy now button!
But this is just my version…anyone else with another winner?

If you don”t do great on the test the first time, that is fine. You can retake the test after taking more English as a second language ( ESL ) courses.
If you are living in an English speaking country, you have many chances to improve your English outside of class. For example, if you have children learning English at school, you can improve your English by talking in English to them. Also rent movies that are in English, and try to watch them without subtitles. It can also help to watch foreign films that have subtitles in English, so you have to read the words to understand the film. Watching television in English helps improve your English too.
Each time you go out to run errands, try out a few new words. If you take the bus, you can improve your English by talking to people on the bus. Also, talk to people at the grocery store, and don”t be afraid to ask if you don”t understand something. Most people are happy to tell you what a word means.
You don”t have to say a lot to people at stores you visit, but even practicing simple greetings will help you improve your English. The more you speak with English speakers, the more you will improve your English, both in pronunciation and vocabulary.
Reading things written in English can really help you to improve your English. If regular books are too difficult, you could start out with simple books. Reading the newspaper and comic books can be very helpful as well.
Also listen to talk radio in English. This also can help you improve your English because you are listening to good pronunciation. Though talk radio may not make a lot of sense at first, it makes more sense the more you listen.
Books on tape or CD are another great way to improve your English. Plan to listen to these as you drive your car, or if you are at home doing household tasks. Many books on tape can be checked out from libraries, so if you are short on cash, you can still listen to many selections for free.
Set a goal for learning a few words a day to improve your English. Make a list of the words you want to learn each week, and study them carefully. Try to use them in conversation, and don”t be worried if you get them wrong at first.
Many Internet sites also have English exercises you can do to help you improve your English. Many of these sites offer free activities and can be a great way to continue to learn new words. Also participating on English chat sites can help you learn more English.
In all, combine as much teaching and practice in both written and spoken English. If an English speaking country is your new home, this is very important. Being able to speak and write English well can make finding jobs easier. Also, if you have children learning English, they will really benefit if you are learning with them. They will have opportunities to practice at home, and will learn much more quickly.

I’ve got to say for myself that it’s been uphill sometimes when you are learning a second language, mostly English. It’s either a slang, a saying, a phrase, you name it. The most important thing is to immerse yourself in it. You have to love it, and have fun in the way.

1) As someone who knows many others who have learned English as a second language, I’ve learned from them that watching tv *in English* is the best way to learn English. Now, this really only covers the passive aspect of learning English. Speaking English is a whole other ball of wax. To really expand your ability to speak you have to practice, practice, practice. The more people you speak to, the better your English will get. There’s no real way around it. And, if you live in a community with lots of people that speak your native that’ll make it harder. You have to just get out there and do it.

There are two routes by which omega-3′s might help your sex life. The first has to do with circulation, the second has to do with mood.

And don’t forget the greatest aphrodisiac of all- a loving partner who youre crazy about.

Azizkakar, some say that reading helps to improve writing. I think reading the language helps you become more familiar with syntax (word order) and expand your vocabulary and spelling.

I think that just practicing writing in an actual situation helps best. Such as getting an e-penpal. (Hopefully with a native speaker), who is willing to correct any mistakes you make.

There’s no magical “one-size-fits-all” solution for improving your writing skills. A wise person once said, “If you want to learn how to write, write.” In other words, you can only truly learn by doing. That’s not to say that other methods of learning are useless — far from it — but the most important thing is to DO it.
Definitely get your writing reviewed by a native speaker, too. You will at least get an idea of where you need to improve. Writing in a word processor and using the grammar check feature can be useful, too, but beware that these often give bad advice, so always pay attention to the explanation for its correction to make sure that it makes sense. (Definitely be aware of how faulty grammar check can be in your native language before trying it with a foreign language.)

You can write only well when you have something on your mind. Forget it if you dont read and listen a lot. First, show some patience, read and listen a lot daily. Keep at it for atleast six months without writing. Then start writing slowly and surely by using a simple language then you’ll see how your writing skills will skyrocket. It is all simple. First feed your brain with something (input) then you will gain output. Simple math really.

I had a teacher who told us that reading, hearing and writing all train our minds in a different way and that a good way to study is to:
Write a copy of the information (straight from a book or magazine for practice), then read the same information aloud so that you can hear it as well as read it because our brain learns differently from reading and hearing.
Maybe writing a copy of well-written paragraphs from stories or articles then reading such things aloud will help you learn proper sentence structure and composition.
