5 Things You Can Do to Start Driving Traffic to Your Site Fast
These days, getting people to your website is key to make sales. Even if you do not sell directly online, your website will often serve as a first port of call and your main marketing tool to capture prospects that search for what you are offering.
Do you have an option for your to contact you for FREE using 1300 number and 1800 number signup? 1800 numbers are a toll free services within Australia.
The trouble is, all this fails if no one visits your site. You can have the best online presence possible but unless someone actually sees it, it”s pointless.
Gaining traffic to your site is not an easy task. Traditional and the most effective methods such as SEO are quite time consuming, yet you might want to drive people to your site much faster than this.
Luckily, there is a number of things you can do to make this happen.
1. Use Google Places
Setting up a Google Places account should be the first thing for any business to do, regardless of their website promotion activities. However, this can be used to gain visitors to your site as well.
Google Places offers small businesses a chance to create a local listing for themselves. Your listing will only show for anything related to what you are offering and only in your location, which is perfect for most companies. Also, the Places listing will rank in Google much faster than your website and depending on your industry, it might even start showing on page one of the search engine relatively fast.
Moreover, your Google Places profile, which is very easy to set up, can include your website address, pointing people to it for more information.
2. Submit Your Blog Posts to Reddit
Nowadays, a website must have a blog. It is the most effective way for you to add new content and build an image of yourself as an expert in your field. But there is more that you can do with your blog than just create posts for it, you can use it to quickly drive traffic to your site.
Submit your blog posts to Reddit, a social bookmarking site, known for thousands of users who are there for one purpose only, to discover new content. Submission process is easy and the traffic spikes after you do so are incredible.
3. Promote Your Business With Online Press Releases
Press releases are great for many things, from announcements to raising the awareness of your business. However, they can also help you gain website visitors.
A well written press release can attract many people to your business and if it gets picked up by the press, even more people will find out about you.
By including your website address in your press release you increase your chances of getting visitors to your site from there.
4. Use social media to drive traffic to your site
Sites like Twitter and Facebook are the best places to find people interested in what you are selling. And, it is a known fact that people like to click on links from those sites. Therefore, start using social media and promote your website there as well. Include your web address in your profile but also post links to your latest posts and so on.
5. Submit Your Site to Business Directories
Just like with Google Places, you can create profiles for your business on various other business listing sites and promote your website there. Including a link usually goes beyond what you get with a free listing though so you might have to spend a little but in the end, it will be all worth it.
Promoting a website is not an easy task, however, as you can see, there are a lot of things you can do quite easily to start receiving traffic to your site. Of course, none of them will replace the long term value of good SEO but in a short term they will help you to get things moving with your site.

Hi Mary,
Are you asking if anyone has their own Affiliate Program they offer for their prospects and customers to market the products for them?
I can say I had a bit of success marketing other company’s affiliate programs to people I meet online, and as far as having one of my own my company plans to have one in development. It’s a great no cost method to market your products and services. Let me know what you are planning on doing.

Hi Mary,
Although I don’t have any experience, I do think that affiliate linking is overrated. Yes, it does drive traffic to your website better than banners, but it is still lacking in truly engaging with consumers.
Just spending two hours a day on the internet, contacting only people of whom you KNOW they have interest in your product will have a much greater return than using affiliate marketing. This is because people appreciate that you notice their need on a personal level and will be much more likely to do business with you. The initial investment is larger, mostly because of the time it costs, but it will eventually pay for itself.
Hope it helps,

Writing – Your Web Site Needs a Call to Action : MarketingProfs …

The Web is task-focused. The best Web sites get to the point. They ruthlessly eliminate waffle and happy talk. They focus on helping people complete key tasks as quickly as possible.
Build trust with your Website visitors by providing an easy form of contacting you using Click To Call Button.
The truth is, the Web is a selfish place. People don’t have time. They scan pages looking for something specific. Most people have absolutely no interest in links such as “What We Do” and “Who We Are.” They only care about what you can do for them.
Jeffrey and Bryan Eisenberg are among the smartest people I know when it comes to making Web sites work. Call To Action is their new book, and it’s an excellent title.
The primary focus of Call To Action is e-commerce, but the key messages are important to anyone running a Web site of any variety.
“Virtually all Web sites have a persuasive purpose: to get someone to subscribe, to register, to inquire or to buy something,” Jeffrey and Bryan write.
This is an absolutely central point for any Web manager of an intranet, university, government or commercial Web site; the crucial measure of success is the actions that have occurred.

How can I improve my website?

oops sorry guys!!!! MASSAGE THERAPY…….
Owl
How can I improve my website?
Hi, my website started around November last year and I thought it would be a hit! I have phoned around 240 people with lost, found etc ads in the local papers and only had a few people place their adds on my website. I know I haven’t advertised it as much as I should have but I don’t like putting my hand in my pocket. I would like some feedback and suggestions both positive and negative. Is my website ok? What’s wrong with it? How could it be improved? It’s supposed to help people find their missing items etc. I guess if no body knows about it then they wont use it! Please go to www.rewardsonoffer.com.au and check it out. THANKS in advance.
The perceived worth of your company can be increased by making your company – make it appear bigger than it is. 1300 Number – Contact Us are the perfect way of taking your local company to the international stage.

The best way to improve is to start from the foundation of the site and work your way up to more innovative ways of marketing the site. Let me make a list for you here.
1) NATURAL SEO – title tags, titles, content, alt text. These are all important aspects in ranking your site on search engines, and making sure your viewers are getting relative and valuable content. For example, your alt text on your logo at the top…it is home. It would be much more beneficial to have the company name, or what you do in a few short words. Do this with everything.
2) LINKING – start linking to sites that are relevant to your own content. This will get your site and your name out there and bring traffic to your site. Don’t go running around linking to everyone. Sure this may bring traffic to your site, but not qualified traffic. You want people to come to your site and stay. If they come in and bounce right out, it really means nothing.
3) BLOGGING – comment on blogs out there. Make your presence known and include a link to your site. When you post a comment, however, make sure you say something insightful and of value. This will put your name out in the community, and also show people that you are one smart cookie! COMMENT KAHUNA is a great program to do this. Make sure you start your own blog too.
4) GOOGLE ANALYTICS – sign-up. It is well worth it. The value of measuring your site is great.
5) PPC – very good method, however, I use PPC as a last resort. I have found continued success in using the natural and free methods above. It depends on what your budget is, your market, and your target whether PPC is a good idea for you.
6) SOCIAL NETWORKING – your site is a GREAT site to do some social networking with. Get on myspace, Facebook, and Twitter. Get the word out that way. Your site is truly an amazing site to promote with social networking.
7) BEWARE – beware of people running around claiming to be SEO gods, and amazing internet marketers, or the best web developers. They are not. And you can do most everything on your own. Most of them are scammers anyway.
Just a few inexpensive (mainly free) ways to get your site out there. Take advantage of most of these free tools. You will have to roll up your sleeves, but believe me, each step is well worth it! I guarantee your site will improve.
Long post….can you tell I love what I do?!?

Site is pretty simple and neat, I don’t see any tell a friend script added on your site in case if someone finds it interesting and want to share it with their friends. Tell a friends widgets are must for any site, try one from here – http://tellafriend.socialtwist.com/index.jsp

Well its the same old thing. You can have the most impressive site on the net but if you dont have traffic nothing will happen.
No matter what the key to making money with a website is traffic and lots of it. Advertising doesnt have to cost much. In fact I am an affiliate marketer who is doing very well. I decided to get off my butt and take a course on the internet and wow did that change things.
I now pay absolutely nothing for traffic. Thats right all my traffic is absolutely free.
I am however committed and I treat this like a business. Because of that I have become succesful.

Improving your website takes a lot time and energy is what I found. I am a plumber from Boston Ma and run a successful company. For me I was trying to find a solution where I had a real person not an automated service to help me grow my business through the internet. For over two months now I have be using a company www.letsjetpack.com all I can say is these guys are awesome!
They do everything SEO, PPC, Customer landing page and they are cheap. Not only that but they also built a program so I can everyday see who visited by site, who called and listen to the calls, who filled out forms.
Honestly my advice would be look no further.
HealthyMom
Hi,
I think your site has great potential. You just need to get people interested in the content of your site and you’ll see the kind of activity you want.
The problem is you don’t have any content that people are interested in. What if you posted stories about crimes that included big rewards and the outcome of those cases? People love real-life crime stories; just look at all the reality shows on TV. This will take some effort on your part but I think you’ll see it pay big dividends.
Remember that search engines want to see related content to give your site a good rank. So keep the content to crimes with rewards, not just crimes.
If you want free traffic, I would suggest article marketing. And then, if you can, use PPC. It’s worth the investment especially with your niche.
good luck,
Healthy Mom
mantra
The most important aspect of your website is content. Without informative content users will quickly exit your site and not come back.
Once you have some good content on your site you will need to get some incoming links. Email other webmasters and ask if they would be willing to trade links. The more links your have coming to you from related sites the higher your page rank will be.
If your budget allows, pay for inclusion to a high page rank directory. I have heard stories of people who have gone from a PR 0 to a PR 5 in as little as two months just from getting listed in a high ranking directory. These directories also have lots of visitors so having a listing would also be good for increasing traffic to your web site.
If you have any doubt for how to increase the page rank just go through below link: http://www.trafficassistants.com

I will say only threee type of site will get ads easily
1. Well known website / international brand
2. High traffi site
3. High PR site
So, you need to improve your site to either high traffic or igh PR. And you shall go for SEO which can help you much

How Can I Improve My Ranking On Search Egnine?
Well, it is been like 3 months since I’ve built a website. I receive like an average of 10 visitors per day which is not bad. But, to me those people who visit my website are not the kind of people that I am targeting since I am promoting fine art pieces. Lot of them are people who come to spam my website. Some post the same comment in every post. My question is how can Improve my ranking?

I have to agree with WilliamC. There are excellent stickies on all categories to get you started; and reading older threads on topics where you need more information is the place to start. Once you have the basics down and you have specific questions, please start a thread. I am going to close this one, as it will simply invite very general answers that educate no one.

Improve my English Grammar and Vocab

Improve my English Grammar and Vocab
“Hello Diana,I want you to improve my grammar and vocabulary.
Hi Komal, Thank you very much for writing me.
You have no idea how many people send me messages similar to yours, but I must tell you -and everyone who visits my website- why your request will not help you learn English.
The perceived value of your company can be upgraded by making your company appear bigger. 1300 Number – Contact Us are the perfect way of taking your home business to the national stage.
Sadly, I cannot improve your grammar or vocabulary.
I know. It is shocking to hear but I cannot improve anyone’s grammar or vocabulary.
Do you know why?
because it doesn’t depend on me
.
Learning English is all about you and what you are doing to improve your English.
I’ve been reviewing my website and also many other “learn English” websites and there seems to be a common trend.
There are 100′s of wonderful websites available on the Internet. Yes. Lots of free material for you to use and improve your English.
Do you know what the problem is? The problem is that people don’t use it, or can’t find it.
When I say that people don’t use these websites I’m not saying that people are lazy because most people are working hard to improve, but maybe people need to study
smarter
.
How can you study smarter
If you want to study smarter then you must realize that learning English should be fun and that you have to “use” English on a daily basis in order to improve.
How do you accomplish this?
*Do things that you love…in English
1) Don’t read a boring grammar book
…get online and read a really interesting article in English.
2) Don’t listen to old English learning CDs or tapes
…listen to free English podcasts on any subject you enjoy (not just learning English podcasts!!)
How are YOU improving your grammar and vocabulary?
That is the important question that everyone should be asking themselves right now?
So, be honest…what are you doing (or not doing) to improve your English?
Share your thoughts below by leaving a comment! Your experience could help someone else!

How to Improve Web Site Conversion
Posted on June 7th, 2011 by admin
Recently, I was a presenter in a teleconference for Sean D Souza s 16-week MasterClass. People who attended asked about specific problems they were having and what I would do in their place. This series of articles addresses their questions.
The perceived worth of the services you offer can be increased by chaging the perception of your company – make it appear bigger than it is. 1300 Number – Contact Us are the perfect way of taking your home business to the international stage.
(article continued below …)
In this article, we’ll be looking at measurement software tools, the pros and cons of logs versus ASP vendors, average conversion rates, why it helps to track visitor activity using the software which is available and what you should test and tweak to improve conversion rates.
Question 1: Does it help to track visitor behavior on websites through software?
Yes is the simple answer. No debate is required but I ll offer a simple explanation. If you don t measure, how do you expect to know what to improve? You can guess and hope you get it right, but if you have effective tracking software, then you simply have facts in front of you.
Effective measurement is more than simply having good software though; it s analyzing why things happen. One thing we measure is bounce, the number of people arriving at one page and then leaving without doing anything. The lower the bounce rate the better, because it means people are using the site more effectively.
One perfect example comes from a recent client. She had two pages with different articles on her site with exactly the same navigation left and centre. Most articles had a bounce rate of about 53%, but one had a better bounce of about 50% and another had a much worse bounce of around 90%. We looked at both and found that the one with the 50% bounce was much more relevant to the reader arriving at the page. It had better and more relevant links at the bottom of the article than the one with 90%. We concluded that by being relevant on the poor page in the same way, the bounce rate would be reduced. We would simply not have known that this was occurring at all without tracking software. So yes, it most definitely helps to track visitor behavior.
Question 2: What measurement software tools would you recommend?
We use IRIS Metrics. However apart from IRIS, I would also recommend browser-based software such as HitBox, WebTrends Live, RedSheriff, and Omniture. Generally, you get what you pay for. And while these systems are not cheap, they do provide the level of detail required to run an effective web campaign.
People have asked me if it s possible to use webalizer (free log software) to run an effective web measurement campaign. While it s possible to get a lot of useful information from free and cheap systems, you don t get path tracking, bounce rates, repeat visitor information, accurate visitor counts, accurate page counts and loads more information which is critical if you want to base business decisions on your measurements.
Question 3. What is the difference between log-based and browser-based measurement?
Tracking tools that rely on server-based measurement are typically programs that are installed on your web server (by your ISP if your site is hosted) or installed locally on your PC using the log files taken from the server. Server-based measurement programs measure activity based on the text files held on the web server (referred to as log files).
The way that browser-based measurement (or ASP measurement) works is that information from each browser that visits your website is recorded, usually in a database, and then the data is manipulated into reports you can read. Typically, these services ask you to paste some JavaScript code into your web pages. A cookie is used to determine which user is accessing the site. This is then tracked on a remote server and you log in to view the reports.
I recommend the use of ASP measurement because it only measures how people using a web browser use your website.
The log files record everything visiting your pages. They need a number of added filters to stop email harvesters, search engines and a variety of other software generated crawlers or bots from being counted as visitors ; without them, you can get seriously skewed results. Server access is often required to get log file filtering right; otherwise, you re relying on your ISP to report your tracking correctly. The log files for one of our clients had 10 times as many page counts and visits recorded than shown by using an ASP. That s a 1000% error!
Question 4. What is an average conversion rate?
This is a very good question and is the topic of serious debate. In other marketing industries they don t guess. They have standards that everyone follows. It s what s needed in online marketing before any real answer can be given. Analytics companies, the big research companies, and digital media associations are going to have to come together to define these standards and then people are going to have to follow what is agreed before accurate numbers can be delivered consistently.
Currently, we re in the process of trying to establish a worldwide benchmark with a number of other prominent people in the industry who also want to know the answer to this question. But meanwhile, here are some statistics we’ve gathered from different sources published both recently and over the last few years. I have figures for 3 types of websites: sales (e-commerce), lead generation, and subscription-based websites.
Generally, sales sites seem to range between a 0.5% and 8% with the average rate being 2.3% according to FireClick statistics published this year and figures published in 2003 by e-consultancy.com. In 2000, the average figure for sales conversion as published by shop.org was 1.8%. The high-end figures, I hasten to add, are the top e-tailers according to all sources. My own experience shows sites hitting between .5% and 5.3% so this seems to correlate with the published figures. Of course since there is no defined standard, these numbers have to be taken as a rule of thumb.
The only source we have for lead generation sites is e-consultancy.com. They quote 2-3% of users completing an optional or free registration process, with 5% being best in class. Our own experience again falls within the same ballpark.
Subscriptions to sale conversion is typically between 1 and 7% again the source is e-consultancy.com
We don’t have figures for visitor to subscription conversion, but our own experience with clients has been between 1 and 8%. Our own site has consistently hit 15% for 6 months though the traffic is pretty well targeted and our methods very well tested.
Question 5. How do you go about consistently improving conversion?
This is the million dollar question. What it really boils down to is treating web marketing as a science. We do it by consistently measuring how people use a website. Over time you will learn what works and what doesn’t and stop wasting your time on the things that don t work.
First we look at the technical aspect of the website. It s amazing how many people overlook and ignore thousands of people who don t use Windows XP with Internet Explorer at a screen resolution of 1024×768. First make sure that you develop something that works for everyone.
One of the next areas we look at is where the traffic comes from. It allows you to concentrate your efforts on your best chance of generating converting traffic. Then we get into reducing the average website bounce rate. The lower the average bounce, the higher the number of people surfing your website and seeing the value of your offer. The higher the number who see your offer, the better the chance of a sale. Checking bounce rates also usually brings up some juicy problems to be solved.
Then look at testing and improving copy and graphical content, running split tests and measuring bounce rates on copy or simply testing the click-through on links. We do much more, but the basic premise is this: test and measure, follow up with experimentation, and then with more testing and more measuring. Sounds like science class doesn’t it?
Summary
To summarize, I am suggesting that if you begin to scientifically measure and improve your websites based on facts and findings, not guesswork and theory, you will begin to improve your conversion rates.

Call to Action – Leads
Posted on June 3rd, 2011 by admin
Marketing Examples
Strong Call to Action – Convert Website Visitors into Leads
The most important key to converting website visitors into leads is to have what marketers call a “strong call to action” or a particularly convincing offer that asks people to give their contact information (so they become a lead for your business) in exchange for something. People are on your website, viewing your company information, and they are looking for clues as to what they are supposed to do next. A strong call to action is a clear, simple and compelling offer that persuades them to take the action you want.
Build relationships with your Website visitors by allowing an easy method of contacting you using Click To Call Button.
What always surprises me is how most small business websites don’t even have a “call to action”. Just having a “Contact Us” form on your website is not very appealing to your website visitors and barely counts as a call to action. What’s in it for them? Not much. So why should they use it? Most people won’t. Sure, some people will use it. And the people who do use it will sometimes buy your services since they gave you their contact information in exchange for nothing – just the hope that you will call them and sell them something. But, if you really want to incase your website conversion rate beyond 1% to an above average 4% or 5%, you need a stronger call to action.
Here are some tips on creating a strong call to action:
1) Keep it Simple. People don’t like to think too much, especially when surfing the web. The more confusing the call to action, the fewer people who will respond. Use fewer words. Make the offer clear. Don’t have any conditions or special rules. Don’t force people to click through to too many pages to complete the action. The harder it is to complete, the fewer people who will complete it.
2) Make it Obvious. Don’t bury your call to action at the bottom of a page. Make it clear and upfront and obvious. Believe me, some portion of your website visitors are looking for a call to action. Just by making yours more obvious you can get more of the to find it an complete it.
3) Most important: Make it Valuable. You always want the offer (what you are giving people) to be appealing and valuable to your target audience. One way to do this is by adding a gift, like a USB drive or an iPod. But a better way is to give useful information that is targeted to your audience (and therefore will attract them but not the other people you don’t want to talk to). Usually, you can repackage existing materials to make something more valuable. For example, maybe you are a small consulting group that works with companies to implement better management and organizational behavior practices to lower their turnover rates. You want the HR managers that are viewing your website to complete a form to give you their contact information so you can follow up with them and sell them on your standard 5 day consulting engagement. You probably already have a 2 page PDF document that describes the services your company provides. You also have a couple customer case studies in PDF that show how you have helped other customers reduce their turnover. And you might even have a short document that you leave with clients that contains the 10 most common mistakes or the 5 best ways to reduce turnover, or maybe you even have reprints of some articles you have written for an industry magazine. Well, combine all these materials, and now you have a “Free Expert Guide to Reducing Employee Turnover”. What HR Manager would not want a copy of that? Another great thing about these electronic guides is that they are downloadable – your prospect gets instant gratification and you don’t pay more than a couple pennies for bandwidth. If you have even more content, you can create a “whitepaper”, which is usually also very appealing to business prospects.
